Capacity Building Training of Farmer Field School (FFS) Facilitators
A one-day Capacity Building Training for Farmer Field School (FFS) Facilitators was conducted from 10:00 AM to 3:40 PM. The training aimed to strengthen the knowledge and skills of FFS facilitators regarding project implementation, coordination, social mobilization, gender integration, and digital data collection through the Kobo Tool.
Session Details
Welcome Remarks
The training commenced at 10:00 AM with welcome remarks by the Team Lead, who warmly welcomed all participants. The Team Lead emphasized the importance of the training in enhancing the capacity of FFS facilitators and encouraged active participation throughout the sessions.
Project Background and Kobo Tool
Mr. Sanaullah Sb, Manager, delivered a presentation on the project background, objectives, and the Kobo Tool. He explained the project’s goals, implementation strategy, and the importance of accurate digital data collection using Kobo. He guided participants on the effective use of the tool for field reporting and monitoring.
Coordination at Village Level
Dr. Anwar Zehri shared valuable insights on coordination and effective working in villages. He highlighted the importance of maintaining strong relationships with community members, local leaders, and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of project activities.
Social Mobilization and FFS Cluster Facilitators’ Roles
Dr. Qudoos Baloch from FAO delivered an informative presentation on social mobilization, the responsibilities of FFS Cluster Facilitators, and appropriate working methods within the assigned Union Councils (UCs). He provided practical guidance on community engagement, organizing FFS activities, and strengthening collaboration with farming communities. His session was highly informative and greatly appreciated by the participants.
Gender Integration in FFS
Ms. Nayab presented a session on gender integration in Farmer Field Schools (FFS). She emphasized the importance of ensuring equal participation of women and men in project activities and discussed strategies for promoting inclusive and gender-sensitive approaches during FFS implementation.
Closing Remarks
The training concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Hassan Hasrat, CEO, who shared his vision for the project and motivated the facilitators to perform their responsibilities with dedication and professionalism. He addressed the concerns and challenges raised by the FFS facilitators and assured them that their issues would be resolved through proper coordination and support.
