Narrative Description of the Project:
After successful completion of phase –I and phase –II the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Program
(PMYSDP) phase –III launched to enhance employment opportunities, alleviate poverty and to provide skilled
workforce to large, medium and small scale industry and to meet the international labor market needs. The
Government intended through “Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Program” more than 50,000
Unemployed Youth(belonging from lower and middle class families) will be provided Skill Development
Trainings in demand driven trades and community market needs.
The program is being executed by National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) Government
of Pakistan. The duration of program was 6 months. The selected trainees have given monthly stipend of
3,000/- each. In few trades free Tool-Kits also have been provided to the trainees. The training has organized in
340 public and private sector Technical & vocational Training institutes, across the country.
Al- Siraat Technical Training Center Kalat was among one of the institute in Balochistan province, which has
given training to 60 – Youths under project of “National Vocational and Technical Training Commission
(NAVTTC) “On its third phase of prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development program of on following trades
namely;
I. Mason & tile fixing plaster
II. Plumber/ pipe Fitter
III. Diploma in information Technology(DIT)
Al-Siraat TTC started its classes with dedicated instructional and non- instructional staff by 2nd January 2017 and
ensure 100% students participation in practical and theoretical trade courses.
The main purpose of facilitating was to enhance the skill training in the respective area and promote PMYSDP
vision and mission.
